In the capitalist dystopia of 2062, Last Hope Inc. uses an algorithm to manipulate its citizens into committing suicide at the age of twenty-seven.

Dolan Sullivan, age thirty-one, has managed to survive four years past his scheduled termination date. Suffering from the pangs of lost love and a tyrannical boss, Dolan finally visits Last Hope Inc. to choose from one of their many offered forms of assisted suicide.

When he attempts to shoot himself in a secluded room, the gun misfires and Dolan is thrown into a pile of bodies slowly approaching a burning furnace. Barely escaping, he stumbles upon Last Hope's database, where he searches through thousands of files, discovering the truth about the corporation and its manipulative tactics.

Dolan dedicates himself to escaping the building.
